There are six Seminole Tribe of Florida reservations across the state of Florida. The Seminole Tribe of Florida and the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida are two of three federally recognized Seminole nations, along with the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. The American Library Association would like to acknowledge the indigenous history of the state of Florida and recognize the Seminole Tribe of Florida and the Miccosukee Indian Tribe of Florida across the state.Ĭhehuntamo!
